The Australian Women's Motorsport Network Inc is the peer group in Australia for women in motorsport and the automotive industry. The AWMN is a non-profit organisation run by a small team of very dedicated volunteers.

Established in March 2001 - the AWMN has had an exciting history to date - having been involved in the Full Metal Challenge, an international event that saw three AWMN members selected to compete against 27 teams from around the world. This event took place in the United Kingdom and went to air on Discovery Channel. The AWMN's team was the only Australian and only all female team selected. The girls kicked ass - and made us all very proud!

Since then, the AWMN has successfully applied for two government grants to run Mentoring Programmes for women in motorsport and the automotive industry. And as a direct result of the mentoring programmes - we are now running Girl's Torque motorsport training days for women - with the main focus on Drag Racing as the motorsport of choice for the majority of ladies!
