Girl's Torque Casting...
An agency for women involved in any aspect of motorsport and/or the automotive industry,
who want to be considered for any motorsport-related work or other opportunities offered to members
and associates of the Australian Women's Motorsport Network Inc (AWMN). Examples include:
V8 Supercars, films, television shows, interviews, advertising ...
The Girl's Torque Network has grown from the AWMN, which has been established since 2001. The AWMN has become the pivotal
point of contact in Australia for women involved in motorsport, as well as for the general media, motorsport magazines, journalists,
TV production companies (in Australia and overseas), promoters, researchers etc, as it is the only organisation in Australia that supports
women who are interested in motorsport and the automotive industry.
The casting agency was developed out of necessity. The idea has been under discussion for a long time, and has now been virtually forced
upon us, as there are so many enquiries coming our way.
So GTC is for anyone wanting to advance their careers, gain publicity for future sponsorship opportunities, work opportunities,
travel and more. Once registered with GTC, you will be on our priority list for 12 months.
In 2009 we have been asked to help with casting for, and approached about ...
- a US TV show for women in drag racing
- two V8 Supercar opportunities;
- contact from a screen writer about a feature film wanting 3 girls with driving & mechanical skills
- we have been approached about a women's only circuit racing series for the future
- The Melbourne Age: feature series on women in motorsport
- Various magazine articles & freelance journalists
- 3 girls helped to build a unique car (in 30 days), capable of having 3 tons roll over it!
- they travelled to the UK to compete in an international motorsport event called Full Metal Challenge
- FMC went to air on Discovery Channel. The team made it to the semi-finals and were the only team invited from Australia
- sourced two speedway girls who appeared on the Kerrie-Anne Kennelly show
- sourced a driver for Formula Woman, a female motorsport series in the UK
- sourced girls for the Hot Laps segment on The Car Show
- plenty of contact from and with the general and motorsport

Our Service
YOU are
to provide Girls Torque Pty Ltd with profile photos and information for
us to
list your profile on our website.
YOU may
also supply us with your own audio (interviews etc) or video footage,
for us to
pass on to relevant third parties.
YOU
acknowledge and agree that you are solely
responsible for the content of the information provided and that all
information is accurate, including the content of your Profile.
WE agree to refer YOU to relevant third parties, as opportunities arise. WE agree to actively seek relevant opportunities on your behalf.
Third
Parties
The term “Third Parties” means referrals to (not exclusively but including) - motor sport teams, film, television, their associated agents and companies, advertising agencies, photographers, potential sponsors.
Registration fee is $110 (including GST). The period of registration equals 12 months.
