Diana-Lee is the AWMN
National
Grassroots Motorsport Director, and Editor of
the AWMN newsletter. Di is also a writer and desktop publisher.
In club
level motorsport she has achieved Champion Lady Driver at 2003
Challenge of Clubs; Competition Champion for Pakenham Auto Club in
2000; Ladies class winner for 2001 Victorian Motorkhana Championship;
2nd Production Car (ladies category) 2001 Australian Motorkhana
Championship; a couple of 2nd & 3rd placings in Victorian Club
Autocross Series in class B (2000, 2002, 2003); 1st 2004 Huntingdale
Auto Club Interclub Motorkhana Challenge in her daily driver and pride
and joy, a 1966 Dodge Phoenix.
Di competes in a 1979 Chrysler Scorpion,
and her favourite event is the Challenge of Clubs. She is also a member
of the Huntingdale Auto Club. Her goals are to have a ton of fun, beat
the guys, encourage more women into the sport, get her club
level
motor sport magazine off the ground and finish her young adults
novel.
Di's advice - "You are never too old to
start motorkhana, not only will
your driving skills improve you'll be able to reverse park your car on
a 5 cent piece!"
